Meet the West Covina Team Behind Halden Heating and Air West Covina

Halden Heating and Air West Covina has been fixing and installing HVAC systems in the San Gabriel Valley since 2004, and the people who show up at your door are the reason this business still runs on word of mouth. We’re an independently owned and operated shop under the Relay Home Co. network, which means we answer to you, not a distant corporate office. Every tech who carries our logo is background-checked, uniformed, and held to one standard: a written price before any work starts, and a written guarantee on every repair, no exceptions. We’re your neighbors, and we act like it.

Our People

Andre Fuller, Owner

Andre Fuller founded Halden Heating and Air West Covina in 2004, back when a compressor failure at 5 p.m. on a Friday meant the whole weekend was shot. He’s the guy who still picks up the phone and talks through what’s going on with your AC before anyone rolls a truck. Andre runs the business on a simple belief: if you wouldn’t put that price on a written estimate for your own mother’s house, don’t hand it to a customer. He holds every technician to The Relay Standard and checks in on jobs personally when things get tricky. When he’s not chasing down the last Carrier condenser unit in the county, you’ll find him trying to get one more run out of a set of drill batteries that should’ve been retired in 2018.

Marcus T., Lead Technician

Marcus has been turning wrenches on residential HVAC systems for close to 15 years, and he’s spent the last several of them running lead service calls across West Covina, Baldwin Park, and Covina. His specialty is diagnosis: the calls where another company threw parts at the problem and the AC still isn’t cooling. Marcus is certified to service Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York, Daikin, Bryant, and American Standard, so when he shows up he’s not learning the equipment on your dime. He’s also the guy other techs call when a wiring diagram doesn’t match what’s actually inside the cabinet. Marcus is a firm believer that the best AC repair is the one you can explain to the homeowner in 30 seconds, and he’s got a soft spot for Lennox units that other shops have written off as dead.

Elena R., Senior Installer

Elena leads installation crews for AC replacement and new system installs across the San Gabriel Valley, and she’s the one who makes sure the job site looks better when we leave than it did when we pulled up. She’s spent over a decade installing residential cooling systems, so she’s seen every attic, crawlspace, and roofline configuration this area can throw at her, including the tight closet installs common in older West Covina homes built in the 70s and 80s. Elena handles the rough work and the fine detail: proper line set routing, correct charge, and making sure the new unit doesn’t rattle like a box of rocks when it fires up. She also does the final walkthrough with homeowners, because nobody should have a brand new AC system they don’t fully understand. When she’s not on a roof, she’s running a small vegetable garden that her dog has unofficially claimed as a napping spot.

Danny P., Service Coordinator

Danny is the voice on the phone when you call Halden Heating and Air West Covina, and he’s the reason you get a live person at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., since every call is answered by a real person, 24/7. He handles scheduling, dispatch, and the live arrival time you can track to your door, not a four-hour window. Danny started with us as an apprentice before a knee injury moved him inside, and that means he knows enough about the equipment to ask the right questions when a customer says “it’s making a weird noise but I can’t describe it.” He’s the one who’ll text you the tech’s ETA and make sure someone’s already on the way before you’ve finished your coffee. His superpower is turning a panicked no-cooling Tuesday into a calm, scheduled repair by noon.

Leo M., Apprentice

Leo is the newest member of the team, a West Covina local who came up through a trade program and joined us a little over a year ago. He works alongside Marcus on service calls and shadows Elena on installs, which means he’s learning both sides of the business at once. Leo’s still earning his hours and taking classes, but he’s already got a reputation for being the one who actually reads the equipment manual, which is rarer than it should be. He’s the guy who runs the vacuum pump, fetches the right fitting, and learns by watching real jobs go right, not just reading about them. When he’s not working, he’s restoring a 1990s pickup truck that runs about as reliably as a dead capacitor.

One Standard, Every Job

The team at Halden Heating and Air West Covina runs on a few rules that never bend. Every job gets a written price before any work starts, so you know the number before we touch a single component. Every repair comes with a written guarantee, not as an add-on you have to ask for, but as part of the service itself. If that repair fails within the coverage window, we come back at no charge under the 365-Day Done Right Promise, which gives you a full year of accountability on every completed job. The Relay Visibility Guarantee means what we quote is what you pay, and what we promise on paper is what we actually deliver. That’s the standard Andre set in 2004, and it’s the one Marcus, Elena, Danny, and Leo carry to every call in West Covina and beyond. Call (831) 607-5485 and you’ll get a real person who can schedule you with a tech whose name and face you’ll know before they arrive.
